As the popularity of bluegrass grows, so does the number of bluegrass influenced artists. BluegrassUncut.com is focusing on the genre of Bluegrass and will only publish events that feature music that is the essence and form of bluegrass.

There is always room for debate as to what the definition of bluegrass is, so here are some general rules of thumb to keep in mind: Bluegrass utilizes acoustic instruments. Guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, bass, and dobro, that are amplified through mics, instead of plugging directly into an amp or pa system.  It exhibits influences from other forms of music (blues, jazz, Celtic, etc.), but it has a distinct form and sound of its own.
