With a career that has run a full half-century, from 1950s work with Jimmy Martin's Sunny Mountain Boys to the newest edition of his own band New . . . that bears his name prepares to celebrate its 10th edition this weekend, many milestones from Crowe's remarkable career are about to converge.

On September 7, bluegrass legend Peter Rowan  will release his Compass Records debut, Legacy. Joining him on the album are genre giants Del McCoury . . . Good”). Rowan, a Grammy winning singer-songwriter, played guitar and sang vocals for the father of bluegrass music, Bill Monroe, in the mid ’60s.
